Located in Detroit’s East Riverfront district, Atwater Park was a study of how a large multi-family housing and retail project could create a vibrant setting for a ‘walkable’ urban district.  With over 300 apartments and condominiums Atwater Park would create a catalyst for development along Detroit’s newly created waterfront district.  The building’s striking modern architectural style would provide a creative backdrop for an active neighborhood full of shops, offices and homes.  Utilizing fast three-dimensional modeling and graphics, KDG was able to quickly show the client a way of articulating a very large development into a pedestrian scaled urban center while promoting and engaging the large open spaces of the Tricentennial State Park and Marina.
